Alat ridge

Alyat ridge or Lengebiz-Alyat ridge is a large anticlinal zone in the east of Azerbaijan , spreading 40 km from Gobustan to the south-west. Rich in oil deposits. The Alat ridge abounds with numerous mud volcanoes, which are considered to be among the largest in Azerbaijan, such as: Tuorogai, Bolshoy Kanizadag, Dashgil, Koturdag, Ayrantekan, Kara-Kure and others [1] .
