Geography
The Commune is located approximately 410 km southeast of Paris , 50 km east of Lyon , 45 km south of Bourke-en-Bres [1] .
In the west of the commune flows the river Rhone . The eastern part of the commune is covered with forests.
Climate
The climate is semi-continental [2] with cold winters and warm summers. Rains happen infrequently, mainly in the summer.
