Biography
Born in the Poltava region in the family of Moses and the Warsaw Era. In addition to her, the family had an older brother, Kim, who died in 1943 in the Poltava region.
She lived in Moscow. Graduated with honors from the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory . She studied at the Gnesins' school in the cello class.
When evacuating from Moscow, she fled to the front, adding 2 years to herself. She worked as a nurse in a military hospital. In 1943, transferred to the army.
During the Battle of Kursk in the area of the Duda Heights, she detained two German saboteur officers. She was awarded the medal for military merit .
During the battles for Vyborg , being wounded, it took out 9 wounded mortars from the battlefield. She was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree .
In August 1944, she married the guard of Lieutenant Yuri Gorbatoy.
In September 1944, she fought in Estonia . She died on September 22 near Tallinn during the attack of the column of the division by German aircraft.
She was buried near the fence of the Kaarli church on the hill of Tõnismägi . The clergy did not agree to bury a Jewess in the church fence.
In the Soviet period, in one of the schools in Tallinn there was a museum of Lenin of Warsaw.
When the memorial was transferred to Tõnismägi, it was reburied on July 4, 2007 on Mount of Olives in Jerusalem . On January 15, 2008, a monument was erected to her there.
