During its existence, the Volgograd Weight Measuring Equipment Plant carried out two reconstructions, allocating significant funds to increase the technical and technological level ^[2] , increasing production volumes. During the work at the plant, about 33 thousand units of equipment with a total weight of 22 thousand tons were manufactured and delivered. ^[3] .
The plant is actively working designers and metrologists, certified new types of products ^[4] . The plant is accredited by the Federal Service "Rosaccreditation" for the right to calibrate various measuring instruments. Production of the plant: Automobile scales VAL, Carriage scales "BAM", platform scales Elton are included in the list of " 100 best goods of Russia ".
Modernizing production, developing new, more modern models, the company also takes care of protecting its legitimate interests, for which all the plant's developments are protected by patents and trademarks ^[5] . The plant produces automobile , railcar scales, animal weighing scales, veterinary stations, tank weighing systems, bunker scales, metering devices , mass flow meters, platform scales for various purposes, monorail and conveyor scales , as well as belt weighing conveyors and dynamometers .
All equipment is available in various versions: different platform size, weighing limit, degree of dust and moisture protection, operating temperature range, which allows you to choose scales for specific working and operating conditions. Including projects for the manufacture of complex devices in accordance with the technical specifications of the customer. In addition to the weight measuring equipment, the plant in the territory of its separate branch of the Production Company Conveyt manufactures pre-fabricated modular buildings and collapsible modular units using the Conveyt trademark.
Modular buildings are used to organize temporary and rotational housing, the construction of administrative buildings in remote areas, in commerce, industry and agriculture. They can be erected on leased land, used as cafes, shops, warehouses, cabins, canteens, baths, dormitories, offices, etc. The peculiarity of modular buildings is that their installation does not require permits and a heavy foundation, and the module is quickly assembled (within one day). In addition, such buildings can be transported by assembling the structure and placing it compactly (up to 8 modules 6.0 x 2.5 m are included in the eurotour).
A distinctive feature of modular buildings produced at the plant is that they include an autonomous power plant, which allows the use of alternative energy sources .

The company has a wide geography of supplies of weighing equipment, regularly participates in most major Russian and international exhibitions, its products are marked by numerous diplomas and awards.
Such products of the plant, such as truck scales “VAL”, platform scales for animals “Elton”, truck scales “BAM” became winners of the All-Russian Competition of the “ 100 Best Products of Russia ” Program in 2012 and 2013.

Volgograd Plant of Weight Measuring Techniques is a member of the Interregional Association of Manufacturers of Weight Measuring Techniques, whose activity is aimed at developing weight-measuring production in the Russian Federation, introducing new technologies, creating high-quality Russian weighing equipment.

At the plant, the Volgograd Museum of Weights and Measures is open, the collection of which reflects the traditions of Russian and world weight building and world history of weights. The museum’s exposition, which grows every year, is one of the most significant and entertaining thematic meetings in the country. The collection of the museum includes scales and measures of the XVI-XX centuries ^[8] Since 2009, the museum is open to visitors. In 2014, the museum collection included more than 2,000 priceless historical exhibits ^[9] .
