Election Results

The ruling Socialist Party of Serbia Slobodan Milosevic won the election again. Unlike the previous elections, the victory of the socialists was not so convincing, this time they won 101 out of 250 seats in the Assembly (40.4%). To get the vast majority of seats in parliament, the Socialist Party formed a government together with the Serbian radical party Vojislav Seselj . Thus, the government coalition secured the support of 184 deputies out of 250 (73.6%).
