The commune is located approximately 410 km southeast of Paris , 90 km northeast of Lyon , 55 km east of Bourke-en-Bres [1] .

The Rhone River flows through the territory of the commune.

The climate is semi-continental [2] with cold winters and warm summers. Rains happen infrequently, mainly in the summer.
