Maylifedl ( Isl. Mælifell ) is an extinct volcano of Iceland . The nearest town is Kirkyubayarkleystur . Maylifedl owes to the eruption that occurred under the Mirdalsjökull glacier, located in the south of Iceland . The cone consists of tuff - a mixture of hardened ash and volcanic debris. It rises above the valley to a height of about 200 meters.
