A407 tour is a middle class bus designed to carry passengers on city, suburban and intercity commercial routes. The bus has been produced at the plant of Ukravtobusprom OJSC in Lviv (formerly the Main Union Design Bureau for Buses - GSKB) since 2012 . The A407 is based on the German Mercedes-Benz Vario chassis , and the body was developed by engineers of Ukravtobusprom OJSC. The bus is, in fact, a variant of Vario with a new frame body of larger capacity, optimized for the operating conditions of the CIS countries .

Description
A407 tour is designed for 40 places: 33 sedentary and 7 standing. It is equipped with two doors , which, depending on the version, can be either mechanical or pneumatic pantograph type. The volume of luggage compartments is 4 m³ .
The body structure uses a number of interesting solutions to increase its durability and corrosion protection. In particular, the entire side skin is made of an aluminum composite . The cavities, which are potentially susceptible to corrosion , are treated with a special preservative, and the entire body is covered with German phosphating primer and paint . Side cladding, windows and floor panels are connected to the frame with polyurethane adhesives , which provides additional strengthening of the body. Also, the problem of cracking the windshield on bad roads was originally solved: the vertical struts are double, which makes it possible to strengthen the frame to such an extent that the possibility of cracking the glass is excluded.
The bus is built on a Mercedes-Benz Vario chassis with an extended wheelbase of 4,800 mm, purchased from Germany . The engine is a diesel OM904 LA ( Euro-4 ) with a volume of 4250 cm³ and a power of 130 ... 180 l. with. depending on the degree of forcing. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle of 13 ... 15 liters per 100 km. Gearbox - manual, 5-speed. Rear suspension - spring or air spring. Braking system - with ABS already in the basic configuration, as well as an auxiliary motor brake retarder. Noteworthy is the ESP stability control system .
