Rita Solomonovna Spivak (born April 4, 1937 , Orel ) is a Russian literary critic , doctor of philological sciences , professor (1994-2015), head of the department of Russian literature (1997), philological faculty of Perm University . Founder of the scientific direction for the study of the typology of philosophical genres.

Biography
Mother - Anna Ruvimovna Litvina, typist; father was repressed under article 58 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR as an “ enemy of the people ." The family was evacuated to Molotov in 1941. She graduated from school number 7 and the historical and philological faculty of Perm University (1959), a student of R.V. Komina .
In 1963-1966 she completed postgraduate studies at Moscow University .
Since 1968 - Ph.D. in Philology (dissertation "I. A. Bunin and L. Tolstoy. (Observations on the correlation of artistic styles)"), since 1992 - Doctor of Philology (dissertation "Russian Philosophical Lyrics. 1910s." ), since 1994 - professor at the Department of Russian Literature, Faculty of Philology, PSU .
From December 24, 1996 to September 20, 1997, she served as the head of the Department of Russian Literature at Perm University. In 2015, she retired.
She was married to an engineer Anatoly Nikolayevich Balashov [1] .
Scientific Interests
Main research interests: theory and history of philosophical genres, poetics of Russian literature of the beginning of the XX century, the creative heritage of I. A. Bunin , national types in Russian literature of the XIX – XX centuries. At Perm University, the founder is a scientific trend in the study of the typology of philosophical genres.
She was a member of dissertation councils for the defense of doctoral dissertations at the Ural State University and the Ural State Pedagogical University , editor-in-chief of the Bulletin of Perm University (series "Literary criticism") [2] .
