Bakhshaliyev became the champion of Azerbaijan in classical wrestling 20 times and the champion in freestyle wrestling 7 times. Rza Bakhshaliyev was also a graduate of the Oriental Department of the Azerbaijan State University and the Institute of Physical Education. Later he was head of the department of physical education at ASU. At the same time, knowing 7 languages, he was a bronze medalist of the Baku championship in drafts, often participated in the Baku lane. In 1924, Bakhshaliev created a French wrestling group at the Kusturud club. In addition, Rza Bakhshaliev taught free-style wrestling in society Science (subsequently Iskra, Petrel) [2] .
Pupils of the Rza Bakhshaliyev school are multiple USSR champions Musa Babaev and Ibragimpasha Dadashov , multiple USSR championship winner and winner of the World Student Universiade, Mukhtar Dadashov , as well as Rashid Mamedbekov who won a silver medal at the Helsinki Olympic Games in 1952 [1] .
