Biography
Born in a working class family. He began his career in 1923 in Baku as a turner. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1926
In 1933 he graduated from the Azerbaijan Industrial Institute. M.A. Azizbekova .
- 1932–35 and in 1937, engineer, head of the workshop of the S. M. Kirov factory in Baku,
- 1937–42 - Director of machine-building plants named after Lieutenant Schmidt, named after S. M. Kirov, named after F. E. Dzerzhinsky in Baku.
- 1942–45 - Secretary of the Baku City Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Azerbaijan.
- 1945–55 - Deputy head of the associations "Azneft", "Aznefterazvedka", manager of the construction trust, deputy minister of state farms, head of the construction department in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, deputy minister of the construction materials industry of the Azerbaijan SSR.
- 1955-58 - Deputy Chairman of the Baku City Executive Committee, Minister of Local Industry of the Azerbaijan SSR.
- 1958–69 - Minister of Finance of the Azerbaijan SSR.
- 1969–85 - Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR, simultaneously in 1970–86. - Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR.
Member of the Central Audit Commission of the CPSU (1971–86). Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR (1970–86).
Since 1985 - a personal pensioner of national importance.
Awards and titles
He was awarded four Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, two other orders, as well as medals.
