Biography
He graduated from the French-Afghan Lyceum in Kabul. With the beginning of the Afghan war, he moved to Pakistan , and in 1984 he sought political asylum in France, which he received in 1985. He was engaged in producing documentaries on French television. He defended his doctoral thesis on video management at the Sorbonne . In 1990, he learned about the death of his brother, who was killed in his homeland in 1989. He made two documentaries about Afghanistan. In 2002, after 17 years of exile, he returned to Kabul, made a series of photographs of the city, several of which were later acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London .
He lives in Paris .
Creativity
He made his debut in France with the novel Earth and Ash (written in Persian, fr. Lane 2000 ), after which he made a film that received recognition from critics and the public. The fourth book of Rahimi, the novel of Singe Sabur. Stone of patience ( 2008 ), already written in French.
