Location

The village of Yakovlevo is located in the northeastern part of the Yegoryevsky district, about 10 km northeast of the city of Yegoryevsk. 0.8 km southwest of the village, the river Tsna flows. Altitude 135 m [2] .

Title

In written sources it is mentioned as the repair of Burlov (1554), later Yakovlevo .

The name Burlov is associated with the non-calendar personal name Burlo . A later name comes from the name of the resident of the village of Ortemki Yakushov, mentioned in the scribe book of 1554, Yakush is a colloquial form on behalf of Yakov [3] .

History

Before the abolition of serfdom, the villagers belonged to the category of state peasants . After 1861, the village became part of the Pominov volost of the Yegoryevsky district. The parish was in the village of Novo-Yegoryevskoye [4] .

In 1926, the village was part of the Martynovsky Village Council of the Pominov Volost of the Yegoryevsky District [5] .

Until 1994, Yakovlevo was part of the Savvinsky Village Council of the Egorievsky District, and in 1994-2006. - Savvinsky rural district [6] .

Population

In 1885, 330 people lived in the village [7] , in 1905 - 363 people (175 men, 188 women) [8] , in 1926 - 168 people (76 men, 92 women) [5] . According to the 2002 census , 29 people (15 men, 14 women) [9] .
