Story

The main character of the novel, a talented court musician Serafina, lives in the kingdom of Gorred, populated by people and dragons , in a company of people forced to be in human form. 40 years before the events of the novel, people and dragons after a long bloody war concluded a peace agreement, but people's hatred for dragons has not passed since then. Serafina is a half-breed born of a man and a dragon, but is forced to hide it because of the extremely negative attitude to this society. The author pays attention to a special difference in the psychology of dragons - an ordered way of organizing thoughts and emotions, which Seraphina also partially owns. After the assassination of Prince Gorred, Rufus Serafin is involved in the investigation of what happened, since the facts indicate that the killer was a dragon. In this, the future heiress to the throne, Princess Glisselda and her bastard groom, Prince Lucian Kiggs, help her.

The kingdom of Gorred originally appeared in Hartman’s graphic novel , Amy Unbounded ”, However, she had problems with drawing dragons, which led to the idea of their ability to transform into human form, so that they were easier to depict [7] .
