Hope & Faith is the American television series created by Joanna Johnson , starring Faith Ford and Kelly Ripa . The sitcom was broadcast on ABC for three seasons, from September 26, 2003 to May 2, 2006. The plot was centered on two sisters: the classic housewife Hope Shanowski (Ford) and Faith Fairfield (Ripa), a soap opera star whose character was killed and she has to move to her older sister.

The series was shot based on the life of its creator Joanna Johnson, the actress of the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful ”, where she starred in two roles for a quarter century [1] . Sitcom came out as part of the TGIF block, launching in an attempt by the channel to revive the popularity of nineties comedies. As a result, the series attracted a significant audience at the start, taking the lead Friday night [2] . During the television season 2005-06, the ratings of the series began to fall and ABC suspended its show in the winter of 2006. The channel began to show the remaining episodes on Tuesdays, beginning on March 21, 2006, against the American Idol reality show, which led to an even greater drop in ratings. On May 15, 2006, the channel closed the series after three seasons and 73 episodes [3] , which the WE tv channel [4] soon picked up for syndication .
