Ferghana State University ( Uzbek. Fargʻona Davlat Universiteti, Farona Davlat Universiteti ) is a higher educational institution in Uzbekistan , also engaged in scientific activities. The university was established on March 1, 1991 on the basis of the Ferghana Pedagogical Institute (founded May 1, 1930). From 1939 to 1952 he had a branch in Andijan.

Faculties
The university has 11 faculties:

37 departments, 21 specialties of the magistracy [2] . And also there are 280 lecture halls and 21 scientific laboratories, 23 computer classes, 1 Academic Lyceum at FerSU, the student theater "Nilufar", a sanatorium, 7 open and 4 winter indoor sports facilities; the university library funds contain about 900 thousand copies of literature (data for January 2019).
Scientific activity
Conducting scientific and research work has been and remains one of the most important areas of the university.
At FerSU, 14 scientific schools with strong traditions have been created and are functioning.
The university has 462 highly qualified specialists,
of which 30 are professors, doctors of sciences,
119 - candidates of science.
Today, the university has 2 scientific councils for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialties "Classification and certification of goods based on their chemical composition" and "Uzbek language. Uzbek literature. "
