Biography

He studied and graduated from school No. 330 in Leningrad. He studied judo and sambo in the section at the school under the guidance of Vladimir Fedorovich Romanenko. Then he continued his sambo and judo classes in the Trud society under the guidance of A. S. Rakhlin, together with V. V. Putin , B. R. Rotenberg , A. R. Rotenberg [2] .

He was the champion of the USSR championship in sambo in 1973 ( Kazan ), the repeated winner of the USSR championships in judo and sambo, the silver winner of the youth Judo Games in 1974 ( Gorky , USSR).

After graduating from school in 1970, he entered the Higher Technical Educational Institution at the Leningrad Metal Plant named after the XXII Congress of the CPSU . He graduated in 1976 , having received a higher education in mechanical engineering with a degree in "foundry machinery and technology " [3] [4] .

Coaching

He began his coaching activities in 1977 at the Comprehensive School of Higher Sports Mastery of Leningrad as a trainer and teacher.
