Aleksander Alekseevich Shevchenko (born June 3, 1971 in Solnechnogorsk, Moscow Region ) is a Russian curling player, a player of the Russian national team in wheelchair curling (playing under the first or third number), the silver medalist of the 2014 Paralympic Games . Three-time world champion ( 2012 , 2015 , 2016 ). Winner of the "Return to Life" 2013 prize [2] . Champion of Russia 2011/2012 [3] . In the 2012/2013 season, he was left without country championship medals [4] . Honored Master of Sports of Russia . Member of the club "Capital". Fell into curling after an accident: damaged the spine in a car accident [5] .
