Biography
He graduated from the Tbilisi Polytechnic Institute with a degree in civil engineering. Since 1964, member of the CPSU. Since 1970, at party work. He was elected first secretary of the Avtozavodsky district committee of the CPSU of Kutaisi, Tskaltubsky and Tkibul city committees of the Communist Party of Georgia.
In 1983 he graduated from the graduate school of social sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU in Moscow, and became a candidate of historical sciences.
He took an active part in the restoration of the Communist Party after its ban in the early 1990s. In 2009, he was elected First Secretary of the Central Committee of the ECPG, replacing General P. Georgadze .
In the 2013 Presidential Election , received 663 votes (0.04%) [1] [2]
On January 31, 2014 he was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing in the center of Kutaisi [3] , received serious injuries, the consequences of which he died on March 8, 2014 [4] .
