On June 27, 1431, Vladislav Jagailo , king of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, confirmed to the gentry Vancha Volokh and his sons Khodka, Ivanka and Zanka the village of Turk in the Samborsky povet. From the sons of Zank come Jaworski and Turkish . The sons of Basil Zankovich settled in Yavor, and the only son of Fedor Zankovich Dmitry in Turk. The Ilnitsky were descendants of either Hodka or Ivanka. The first mention of the Ilnitsky dates back to 1491, when Miklash and Ignat from Ilnik were suing Vlodik from Stebnik .
The definition of the former Geroldia, dated November 5, 1834, approved the decisions of the Volyn Noble Deputies Assembly, dated June 18, 1829 and October 28, 1833, on recognition of the nobility's dignity, with the inclusion in the sixth part of the Noble genealogy, David and Andrew-Matthew Konstantinov Ilnitsky .
By the definition of the Governing Senate, according to the Department of Heroldia, dated January 12, 1912, this family includes the daughter of the aforementioned David Konstantinov Ilnitsky - Leonard, by her husband Martsynchik, at the request of which, by the definition of the Governing Senate, December 20, 1912 / September 25, 1913 , concluded: to recognize the Ilnitsky family’s right to the Polish coat of arms “Sas”, supplementing it with shieldholders.
Origin of surname
The surname comes from the name of the village Ilnik , which is located in the Turkovsky district of the Lviv region .
I think this is not entirely true ... Ilnitsa is a village in the Irshava district of the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. Located 4 km from the district center Irshava. For the first time in historical sources it is mentioned in 1450. In the second half of the XIX century, iron ore and brown coal were mined here, later a sawmill arose. Many residents emigrated in search of work, worked as day laborers on landowner farms, and in logging. In the first years of Soviet power, the industrial development of brown coal deposits began. There were 8 mines and quarries for opencast mining. Since the 1960s, due to the development of more economical energy sources in the western regions of Ukraine, only one large mine has been producing coal in Ilnitsa.
