Biography

The daughter of Sheffield lawyer Arnold Muir Wilson and Amy Letitia Dearden [1] .

Real name - Florence Roma Muir Wilson [2] , studied at West Heath School for girls in , studied law at the Cambridge , in 1923 In the year she married an American, Edward Joseph O'Brien (3) [4] . In the 1920s she became known as the author of novels, short stories, plays, as well as biographies of Emily Bronte . Compiled a collection of fairy tales of the peoples of the world, the most popular was their publication called Red Magic (1930). In 1921 she received the Hawthorne Prize for the novel The Death of Society ( 5) .

Since 1928, she lived with her husband in Locarno , died of tuberculosis on January 11, 1930 in Lausanne .
