Safonovo is a village in the Dmitrovsky district of the Moscow region , as part of the urban settlement of Yakhroma [3] . The population is 4 [1] people. (2010). Until 1954, Safonovo was the center of the Safonovo Village Council . In 1994-2006, Safonovo was part of the Podyachevsky rural district [4] [5] .

Location
The village is located in the western part of the district, about 13 km west of the city of Yakhroma , on the watershed of Yakhroma and Lutosni , the height of the center above sea level is 240 m [6] . The nearest settlements are Kharlamovo in the east and Ovchino in the south.
