David began his career in the youth team of the London club Arsenal . After graduating from the academy, he began to speak for the adult composition of the club. Rokasl spent 277 matches for the club and scored 34 goals, winning the English League Cup , Premier League and England Cup with Arsenal.

Then he moved to Leeds United , where he played 25 matches and scored 2 goals. In 1993, he ended up in Manchester City, where, due to frequent injuries, he played 21 matches and scored only 2 goals. A year later, he goes to Chelsea , where, again because of very frequent injuries, he played only 29 matches and did not score a single goal. Being in Chelsea, he went on loan to Norwich City and Hull City , playing for both clubs in eleven games and scoring one goal for Hull City. In 1999, Rokasl went to the Malaysian club " Sabah ".

David Rokasl died of cancer on March 31, 2001. This news stunned the whole world. He himself learned about his illness only 3 weeks before his death, when the process was irreversible, the body's immune system was destroyed and it was too late to operate on him.
