History
The name is given by location on the Kasma River . In the List of Populated Places of 1859, this village is named as follows: Novo-Kasme; she is Edakino [6] [7] .
Geography
The central part of the village is located at an altitude of 174 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census, 304 people (145 men, 159 women) live in the village of Novopokassma [2] .
