In December 2012, the final of the national tournament for the Turkmenistan Boxing Cup among men took place at the Galkynysh sports complex in Ashgabat. Over 100 of the best athletes from all regions and Ashgabat took part in the competitions. The capital's boxers as hosts of the tournament were represented by two teams.
