Traces of an ancient settlement, [5] three cult stones [6] [7] [8] and the Kondimägi cemetery were found on the territory of Yygisoo. [9] These objects are of archaeological value and are protected by the state.
In the first half of the XVII century, the manor Jygisoo ( him. Joeggis ) was built. The first owner of the manor was Heinrich von Knorring . In the 18th century, the manor was owned by the Douglas, Morenshildy and Brushy . In 1912 she became the property of Mihkel Paulberg. The manor building has not survived to our days. [ten]
In 1866, during the Estland gubernia , on the basis of the lands of the Yygisoo manor, the Jygisoo volost was created, which in 1891 was united with Saue volost. [11] [12]
In the 19th century, the post station Saue (Kannemäe) was opened in Jõgisoo. [13] Currently, the station building is an architectural monument and is under state protection. [14]
