Biography
Ivan Nazin was born on December 10, 1919 in the village of Burminka (now the Alexander Nevsky District of the Ryazan Region ). After completing seven classes of the school and pharmaceutical courses, he worked as an assistant pharmacist in Noginsk . In 1940, Nazin was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In the same year he graduated from the Kirovabad Military Aviation Pilot School. Since December 1941 - on the fronts of World War II [1] .
By February 1943, Junior Lieutenant Ivan Nazin commanded a unit of the 6th Bomber Air Regiment of the 132nd Bomber Air Division of the 5th Air Army of the Transcaucasian Front . By that time, he had made 152 sorties to bombard accumulations of military equipment and manpower of the enemy, his important objects, inflicting heavy losses on him [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 1, 1943, for the "exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown", Junior Lieutenant Ivan Nazin was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal Star ” under number 980 [1] .
On August 17, 1943, he died tragically with the entire crew in a plane crash in the Tula Region . He was buried in the village of Volyntsevo, Leninsky district [1] .
He was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner and a number of medals [1] .
In honor of Nazin, the school in his homeland is named [1] .
