Club career
Navas is a graduate of the football academy of the Saprissa club. On November 6, 2005, in his match against Carmelita , he made his debut in the Costa Rican Example . After two seasons, he won the place of the main goalkeeper. Keylor helped Saprissa six times become the champion of Costa Rica, as well as win the CONCACAF Champions Cup and take third place in the club world championship .
In the summer of 2010, Navas moved to the Spanish Albacete . After 20 years, he became the second Costa Rican goalkeeper of the team after Luis Conejo . On August 29, Keylor made his debut in the Segund in a match against Alcorcon . [3] At the end of the season, the club flew out and Navas transferred to Levant on a rental basis. On May 13, 2012, in his match against Athletics Bilbao , he made his debut in La Liga [4] . At the end of the season, Levante bought the goalkeeper's transfer. In the 2013/2014 season, Keylor won the club’s main goalkeeper position.
In the summer of 2014, Navas moved to Real Madrid . The transfer amount was 10 million euros . In his match against Elche , he made his debut for a new club. In the summer of 2015, after the departure of the creamy veteran Iker Casillas to the Portuguese Porto , Keylor became the main goalkeeper of the capital's club. In 2016, he won the Champions League , won the club world championship and won the UEFA Super Cup . In 2017, Keylor won the Spanish Championship for the first time as part of the Royal Club, and also won the Champions League for the second time in a row. In the 2017/18 season, he won bronze medals with the team in the Spanish Championship and won the Champions League for the third time in a row. On August 30, Navas was declared the best goalkeeper of the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League season at the UEFA Champions League 2018/19 draw in Monaco .
International Career
In 2008, Navas made his debut for the Costa Rica national team . In 2009, he was included in the application of the national team for participation in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . In the tournament, Keylor played in matches against Salvador [5] , Guadeloupe [6] and Mexico [7] . According to the results of the competition he was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the tournament. In 2011, Navas took part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the second time. In the tournament, he played in matches against the national teams of Cuba [8] , El Salvador [9] , Mexico [10] and Honduras [11] .
In 2014, Keylor was included in the application for the national team to participate in the World Cup in Brazil . In the tournament, he played in matches against the national teams of Uruguay [12] , Italy [13] , England [14] , Greece [15] and the Netherlands [16] . In three meetings he was recognized as the best footballer of the match and made a huge contribution to the first in the history of the national team output in the quarter finals of the championship.
