Content

History

It was first mentioned in the Scribe Book of the Vodskaya Pyatina of 1500, as the village of Kastue in the Ilyinsky Tigodsky graveyard of the Novgorod district [2] .

In 1701, "the village of Kostuy was burnt by the house of warriors of the Svej military people and destroyed the cattle house and devastated cattle and bellies and all kinds of bread."

In the census of 1710 in the Ilyinsky Tigodsky graveyard, the village of Kostuya is mentioned, which is listed by the landowners Putilovs [3] .

On the map of the St. Petersburg province of 1792, A. M. Vilbrecht , the village of Kostya is indicated [4] .

In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Pelgorsk volost of the 1st camp of the 1st zemsky section of the Novgorod district of the Novgorod province .

According to the military topographic map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of the 1917 edition, the village of Kostuya consisted of 18 peasant households . Near the village there were lakes: Chernushka and Beyavskoe [7] .

From 1917 to 1927, the village of Kostuya was part of the Luban volost of the Novgorod district of the Novgorod province.

Since 1927, as part of the Zamostyevsky Village Council of the Luban District of the Leningrad Region.

Since 1930, as part of the Tosno district [8] .

According to the topographic map of 1931, the village was called Kostovo and consisted of 113 yards. In the center of the village was a chapel.

According to 1933, the village of Kostuya was part of the Zamostyevsky village council of the Tosno district [9] .

In 1940, the population of the village of Kostuya was 402 people.

From September 1, 1941 to December 31, 1943 the village was under occupation.

Since 1954, as part of the Pelgorsky Village Council.

In 1958, the population of the village of Kostuya was 140 people [8] .

According to the data of 1966 and 1973, the village of Kostuya was part of the Pelgorsk village council [10] [11] .

According to 1990, the village of Kostuya was part of the Luban Village Council [12] .

In 1997, 37 people lived in the village of Kostuya, Luban volost, in 2002 - 72 people (Russian - 96%) [13] [14] .

Geography

The village is located in the north-eastern part of the district on the highway 41А-004 ( Pavlovo - Mga - Luga ), north of the center of the settlement of the city of Luban .

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 22 km [15] .

The distance to the nearest railway station Lyuban is 21 km [10] .

The river Mga flows east of the village, and the river Chudlya to the west. In the village is Lake Black, east of the village - White.
