He graduated from the Vasilyevsky parish school [1] , and after graduating from the Samara railway school, eighteen-year-old Peter worked in the Temir district of the Turgai-Ural region near Ufa .

Member of the First World War - was a non-commissioned officer of the 78th reserve St. Petersburg Rifle Regiment. After the October Revolution , he arrived in 1917 in Petrograd . He sided with the Bolsheviks, was elected to the Petrograd Soviet.

In the spring of 1918, P. A. Solodukhin , a worker at the Sestroretsk arms factory, was sent to the front of the Civil War at the head of a small military detachment. Demonstrating military capabilities, at the end of 1918 he was appointed commander of the division on the Northern Front. For the capture of the city of Shenkursk, Solodukhin was awarded the Order of the Red Banner, one of the first in the Red Army.

In the summer of 1919, Solodukhin’s brigades bravely fought with Yudenich’s troops, rushing to Petrograd. He was appointed division commander of the 6th Infantry Division . On August 5, 1919, the division liberated Yamburg with battle. When Yudenich was driven away from Petrograd, P. A. Solodukhin was sent to the Southern Front as the commander of the 9th Infantry Division , where S. P. Voskov was the commissar . The division fought hundreds of miles and freed dozens of cities from Denikin.

A small section of the river south of the colony of Lviv to the village of Tyaginka was chosen as a crossing point . At the same time, the 52nd and Latvian divisions were supposed to force the Dnieper in the Berislav region, and the Kherson group in the Kherson region. If successful, the entire Right-Bank group of the Red Army had to rush to Perekop and Melitopol in order to cut off Wrangel from its rear bases in Crimea , together with other parts of the 13th Army .

The funeral of I.P. Solodukhin, Column Hall of the Tauride Palace

At dawn on August 7, by order of P.A. Solodukhin, regiments of the 44th brigade entered battle. Two bridgeheads in the Kakhovka area and in the area of the Korsunsky Monastery were united into a single powerful bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper, located directly near Perekop and supported by convenient crossings in Kakhovka. The enemy decided at all costs to regain the lost position. Having launched a counterattack, the 34th White Infantry Division, with the support of cavalry , artillery , armored cars and aircraft, broke through between the Big Mayachka and Chernyanka at the junction of the 45th and 43rd brigades. Seeing the galloping enemy cavalry, P. A. Solodukhin, who had no other reserves under his arms at that moment, assembled a team of equestrian orderlies and led her into a counterattack with the words: “Comrades! Hold on tight! Not a step back! ” After a short battle, the entire detachment perished. Subsequently, the captured White Guards showed:

“Among the wounded was one of yours with the Order of the Red Banner. He was injured in the leg and both arms. To the offer of our lieutenant to surrender, he replied: “We Communists do not surrender to the mercy of the White Guard bastards!” Immediately one of the officers shot him point-blank. ”

The coffin with the body of P. A. Solodukhin was sent to Petrograd on August 12, 1920 . On August 22, on the Champ de Mars [2] , where the outstanding heroes of the October Revolution and the Civil War rest, a solemn burial of P. A. Solodukhin took place. Here he and Commissioner S.P.
