Biography
Born on April 14, 1965 in the city of Maryinka, Donetsk region.
Higher education, specialist - economist, master of political science.
He began work as a miner of a slaughter face (twice in the brigade of the Hero of Socialist Labor I. Strelchenko) at a coal mining enterprise - Trudovskaya mine (Donetsk), where he was injured. He began to work as an apprentice shoemaker. Later he worked as the head of the department of the Kurakhovsky House of Life.
1993-1998 - Chairman of the Board of JSC "Energozbutprom".
1998-2003 - Chairman of the Board of Shareholders of Donbasenergobud OJSC.
2003-2005, President of Leasing Center LLC (Donetsk).
2005-2006 - Deputy Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration for the fuel and energy complex, transport and communications.
2007—2013 passed in the Verkhovna Rada of the VI convocation as part of the Our Ukraine - People’s Self-Defense bloc, 50 on the list. He was a member of the Committee on Finance and Banking.
The author of a number of existing legislative acts on improving legislation governing the activities of non-banking financial institutions, investment activity in construction, anti-crisis measures of the National Bank of Ukraine, increases the social protection of Ukrainian citizens, protection of citizens' savings. Scientific activity is carried out as a full member (academician) of the International Academy of Ecology, Human and Nature Safety and a corresponding member of the Ukrainian Technological Academy (department - enterprise economics).
On October 5, 2013 at the XIV Congress of the Ukrainian People’s Party (UNP) in Kiev, the head of the Donetsk regional party organization of the UNP, Alexander Klimenko, was elected head of the Ukrainian People’s Party. 223 delegates of the congress supported the candidacy of Klimenko by secret ballot, 29 delegates did not support any of the candidates.
On March 29, 2014, the Central Election Commission received documents for registration as a presidential candidate from the leader of the Ukrainian People’s Party, Alexander Klimenko. May 17, 2014 refused to participate in the elections.
