History
The village was founded in 1923 as the Brunnental colony (with the German Brunnental - Rodnikovaya Valley ), 32 families of Germans-immigrants from the Alexandrovskaya colony located near Nalchik [2] [3] .
With the outbreak of World War II , the Germans living in the colony were deported to Central Asia. In August 1942, an empty settlement was occupied by fascist troops and looted.
After the war ended, residents from nearby villages began to move to the empty settlement. By the decree of the PVS of the RSFSR of July 15, 1942, the Brunnental colony was renamed Oktyabrskoye , the Brunental village council of the Zolsky district was liquidated, and its territory was included in the Svetlovodsk village council [4] .
Now the northern outskirts of the village merged with the southern outskirts of the village of Svetlovodsk and in fact constitute one settlement.
