Career
Since 1983, he played in the Premier League of Quebec . Since 1986, he has been a member of the Montreal Canadiens NHL club system, with which he signed a contract in 1985: for two seasons he played for the Montreal farm club Sherbrooke Canadiens (in the NHL as part of Montreal he played only one game) . In 1988, he was traded to the St. Louis Blues , which included 122 matches in the NHL regular championships and 21 matches in the Stanley Cup playoffs for three seasons. In 1991, he was traded to the Detroit Red Wings , where he played the role of a reserve goalkeeper, appearing in only 32 games in two and a half seasons. In January 1994, he was traded to the Boston Bruins , which also included a reserve goalkeeper, having spent 29 matches in a season and a half. In total in the NHL he played 184 matches in regular championships and 25 games in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Since 1995, he played in the lower leagues of North America, as well as in Europe - in clubs in Germany , Switzerland , and Great Britain . In January 1999, he joined the Togliatti Lada , becoming the first foreign hockey player of the Russian Super League to have experience in the NHL [1] . As part of Lada, he played 12 matches in the 1998/1999 season (5 matches in the regular season and 7 more in the playoffs) and 17 matches in the 1999/2000 season (16 matches in the regular season and 1 playoff game) .
After his career, the player works as a goalkeeper coach in various clubs in Canada and Germany: since 2010, he has been a member of the coaching staff of the German club Hamburg Freezers , and has also organized a hockey training camp for goalkeepers every summer [2] .
