
The Evangelical Lutheran Land Church of Saxony is one of the 20 land churches in Germany, a member of the Evangelical Church of Germany . The center of the church is in Dresden .
As of December 2012, 754,451 people are members of the church, united in 765 parishes. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony is one of the Lutheran churches in the ECD. The Church of Saxony is also a member of the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Germany (VELKD).
The cathedral is the Meissen Cathedral . For educational purposes, the church maintains a Protestant academy in Meissen.
