Czartoryski Library ( Polish: Biblioteka Książąt Czartoryskich ) is a library located in Krakow on St. Mark's Street, 17. A branch of the Krakow National Museum . The library is located in the former Czartoryski Palace. The library is owned by the Fund of Princes Czartoryski and is managed by the National Museum.

History
The library was created on the initiative of the princes Adam Casimir of Czartoryski and Isabella Czartoryski , who began to collect it in his estate in the city of Pulawy . By 1830, the library collection consisted of 70 thousand publications and 3 thousand manuscripts.
After the suppression of the November uprising, the library funds were disassembled and stored in various places in the cities of Kournik , Senyava and Paris . In 1874, Vladislav Chartorysky began to collect disparate parts of the library in the City arsenal specially designated for the library.
During World War II, the library was formally closed. Despite this, Polish scholars and researchers continued to use the library funds in clandestine conditions. At the same time, part of the library was looted by the invaders.
Since 1961, the library was housed in a building on St. Mark's Street, 17. In 1971, the Czartoryski library acquired the status of a scientific library.
Currently, the library collection consists of printed literary monuments from the 10th to the 20th centuries of various fields, including the history of art and literature, the history of science and military literature.
The library funds comprise 224.576 publications, including 333 incunabul , 70.009 publications, published before 1800, and 13552 manuscripts.
The collection of the library includes 200 medieval manuscripts, including the autograph “ Roczniki, czyli kroniki sławnego Królestwa Polskiego ” by Jan Dlugosz , 80 illustrated manuscripts, among which are “Złoty kodeks pułtuski” , “Kodeks wizygocki” , “Księka turn Stockings and autographs of Nikolai Copernicus , original scores of Ludwig van Beethoven , Adam Mickiewicz and the first US presidents.
The library is divided into the Department of Publications and Cartography and the Department of Manuscripts and the Archive. Separate collections of the library are the library of Tadeusz Chatsky and the archive of Stanislav Augustus Ponyatovsky .
