Biography
Born in a merchant family. In 1820 he graduated from the county school with a laureate, in 1825 - the provincial male gymnasium .
He led the grain trade.
In 1838-1840 he was elected the vowel of the Petrozavodsk City Council.
In 1841-1843 - the burgomaster of the city magistrate.
In 1844-1846 and 1860-1861 he was twice elected by the mayor of Petrozavodsk.
Known as the organizer of the city fire department for hire from the townspeople under the jurisdiction of the mayor and regular cargo and passenger ship traffic between Petrozavodsk and St. Petersburg . At the end of May 1861, shortly before the death of V.T. Timofeev, the Lodeynoye Pole steamer of the Petersburg-Volga Shipping Company arrived in Petrozavodsk on their first voyage.
He was awarded two gold medals "For diligence."
Family
The first wife is Irina Ivanovna (1814-1845), the second wife is Pelageya Stepanovna, nee Severikova (born 1822). Son Peter (born 1849), daughters Alexander (born 1839), Claudius (born 1850).
