Biography

Grigory Myasoedov was born on September 27, 1901 in the village of Novosergievka (now a village in the Orenburg region ). Russian [1] . In 1925 he moved to Aktyubinsk , where he graduated from the Higher Communist Agricultural School and headed the House of Party Education. In 1941, Myasoedov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since June of the same year - on the fronts of World War II [2] .

By October 1943, Senior Sergeant Grigory Myasoedov was the foreman of the company of the 895th Infantry Regiment of the 193rd Infantry Division of the 65th Army of the Central Front . He distinguished himself during the battle of the Dnieper . On October 15, 1943, Myasoedov crossed the Dnieper in the vicinity of the village of Loyev in the Gomel region of the Belorussian SSR and took an active part in the battles for the capture and retention of the bridgehead on its western shore. October 19, 1943 he died in battle. He was buried in a mass grave in the village of Krupeyki, Loevsky district [2] .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 30, 1943, Senior Sergeant Grigory Myasoedov was posthumously awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union . He was also awarded the Order of Lenin and a medal [2] .

In honor of Myasoedov, a street was named in the city of Aktobe (Kazakhstan) [2] .
