Biography
Alexander Myasnikov was born in 1925 in the village of Vlasovo (now - Yermishinsky district of the Ryazan region ). He lived in the Tashkent region of the Uzbek SSR . He graduated from eight classes of school. In January 1943, Myasnikov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since July of the same year - on the fronts of World War II, he commanded the detachment of the 69th mechanized brigade of the 9th mechanized corps of the 3rd Guards Tank Army of the Voronezh Front . He distinguished himself during the battle of the Dnieper [1] .
On September 22, 1943, Myasnikov’s branch was one of the first to cross the Dnieper in the vicinity of the village of Zarubintsy of the Kanevsky district of the Cherkasy region of the Ukrainian SSR and took an active part in the battles for the capture and retention of the bridgehead on its western shore. During the battle for Zarubintsy, the department destroyed 15 enemy soldiers and officers, and in the battles for the villages of Lukovitsa and Grigorovka - about 50 more. On September 29, 1943, Myasnikov died in battle. He was buried in a mass grave in the village of Maly Bukrin of the Mironovsky district of the Kiev region of Ukraine [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of November 17, 1943, for “successfully crossing the Dnieper, consolidating and expanding the bridgehead on the western bank of the river, and showing courage and heroism”, Red Army soldier Alexander Myasnikov was posthumously awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union . He was also awarded the Order of Lenin and the medal "For Courage" [1] .

- The memorial plaque to Myasnikov Alexander Sergeevich was installed at the memorial complex in the urban-type settlement of Ermish, Ryazan Region .
