Biography

Born on June 27, 1941 in the village of Ovechkino, Sanchursky District, Kirov Region, in a peasant family. Russian. Since 1949, she lived in the city of Privolzhsk (she was taken up by her aunt, Anna Yakovlevna Starygina), where she graduated from high school No. 6.

In 1960, she came to work at the Rogachev factory of the Yakovlevsky Flax Mill, where she mastered the profession of weaver. Over the years, she mastered it perfectly, constantly improving her skills and mastery. In 1965 she joined the Communist Party. In 1966, she entered the competition, switched from 4 machines to 6, then to 8, and two years later, she commanded 12 machines. In 1971, without interruption from production, she graduated from the Volga Textile College.

In April 1971, she took the initiative to achieve high productivity and produce products of only excellent quality at every workplace, which was supported by many enterprises in the region. In October 1971, she fulfilled the plan for the first year of the ninth five-year plan. The initiative of the weaver Smirnova met with approval at the highest levels of power and on its basis an all-Union school of weaving was organized. Actively participated in public life, in the same 1971 was elected to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. In 1972 he entered the correspondence party school at the Central Committee of the CPSU.

The struggle for quality and social work did not prevent Smirnova from increasing her labor productivity, expanding the service area first to 22, then to 44 and finally to 88 AT-60L machines! This indicator was the highest in the industry.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 16, 1974 “for outstanding achievements in fulfilling the tasks of the IX five-year plan and socialist commitments made for 1973, a great creative contribution to increasing the production of consumer goods and improving their quality”, Smirnova Alevtina Valentinovna was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with presentation of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle".

Only in the X Five-Year Plan does it fulfill 18 annual norms. In 1976 she was awarded the USSR State Prize. By the end of the eleventh five-year plan, she had completed 23 annual tasks and worked out more than five million meters of canvas. At the Yakovlevsky Combine A.V. Smirnova worked for more than 30 years, until reaching her well-deserved rest in 1994.

She lived in Volga.

She was awarded the orders of Lenin, the Red Banner of Labor, and medals.

Died on November 26, 2007. She was buried in the city cemetery [1] .
