Jacopo Palma the Younger ( Italian: Palma il Giovine ; 1544 (according to other sources 1548/50 [2] ) - 1628 ) - Italian artist, a famous representative of the Venetian school . In all likelihood, the grand-nephew of Palma il Vecchio .

Biography
Jacopo Palma the Younger was born into a family of artists, he was the great-nephew of the artist Palma il Vecchio and the son of Antonio Nigreti. Initially, he worked under the influence of Tintoretto , then for eight years he studied in Rome Raphael , Michelangelo and Polydoro da Caravaggio . After the death of Tintoretto in 1594, he remained one of the leading artists of Venice.
Palm Junior, with its highly developed technology, did not differ in great talent. His best works are considered to be “Christ in the Hands of the Blessed Virgin” and some paintings in Venice.
Among his followers was the artist Camillo Rama.
