Small geranium geranium , or Armenian ( Latin: Geránium psilostémon ) is a species of dicotyledonous flowering plants included in the genus Geranium of the Geraniaceae family. Ornamental plant, remarkable for the most bright red flowers among all geraniums.

Botanical Description
Small stamen geranium is a perennial herb with a noticeable thick rhizome . Basal leaves in an amount of 2-5, on petioles up to 30 cm long, angular-kidney-shaped, 15-20 cm wide, divided into 5 rhombic lobes. Stem up to 35-70 cm tall, erect, fine-haired. Stem leaves are five-separated, shallowly dentate, upper with three lobes, almost sessile, young - almost woolly on the lower surface. Stipules are flat-haired. Bracts narrow-lanceolate, glabrous, up to 1.2 cm long.
The flowers are large, few in number, on the hairy pedicels. The calyx is divided into sepals of a lanceolate shape, covered with pubescence, each of which is 10-12 mm long. Petals of the corolla are blood-red, ovoid, 20-25 mm long. Stamens up to 1 cm long, blackening at the apex, expanding and whitening to the base.
The fruit is pubescent.
Range
Small stamen geranium comes from Transcaucasia . Described from western Transcaucasia, the type is stored in St. Petersburg. It grows along the edges of mountain forests in subalpine regions.
Value
Small stamen geranium is used as an ornamental plant in itself, as well as for breeding other decorative varieties of geraniums. The most famous variety is 'Iwan' , obtained with her participation. The first ever registered variety is the 'Bressingham Fair' , whose flowers are paler. `Ann Folkard` - an artificial hybrid of small geranium geranium and Geranium procurrens .
