Biography
Born on March 8, 1924 in the village of Svetikovo, Komsomolsk District, in a peasant family. Russian. In 1930 he moved with his parents to the city of Ivanovo. Primary education in school number 56.
In 1940, he came to work as a mechanic at the Ivanovo Automotive Repair Plant. In 1941, the war began, many workers went to the front, and a seventeen-year-old youth unexpectedly became a senior in the shop, became responsible for the fate of almost the same as himself. Responsibility for the work, responsibility for the team - he carried these concepts through his entire life.
In 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army. He served as a car mechanic in the communications battalion of the Main Directorate of Border Troops of the NKVD. After demobilization in 1949, he returned to his hometown, to the assembly shop of the same enterprise.
In the summer of 1956, he came to the Ivanovo Automobile Cranes Plant, to the metal structures shop - TsMK. He worked as a mechanic - tinsmith, installed the cabins of the first K-51 truck-mounted cranes. From the beginning of the 1960s, he headed the brigade, which immediately declared itself as one of the best in the enterprise, exceeding production targets with consistently high product quality. The private charter of the brigade of Vitaly Andreevich was education in the spirit of collectivism, mutual assistance, creativity in work.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 20, 1970, for outstanding achievements in fulfilling the assignments of the eighth five-year plan, Vitaly Andreyevich Emelyanov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.
He became the only one in his factory to be awarded this high rank. He continued to work hard at the enterprise, passing on his knowledge and experience to the youth. Following the father, both sons, Alexander and Mikhail, went to work at the plant. Both have the title “Veteran of the crane truck plant”, the younger Alexander worked at the plant for 33 years, and the eldest son, Mikhail, still works at this plant and will work until the last because his father asked so.
The work experience of Vitaly Andreevich Emelyanov was more than half a century, most of which was associated with the plant of mobile cranes. After entering the well-deserved rest, he came to his native plant for another 16 years to meet with the veterans of the company, with young workers, whom he told about the long and glorious journey of the crane builders. Repeatedly elected deputy of the regional and city councils of people's deputies.
He died on February 24, 2009, his 85th birthday. He was buried in the Balino cemetery on the Alley of Honorary Citizens. He was awarded the Order of Lenin (04/20/1974), the Red Banner of Labor (06/23/1966), and medals. [one]
