Boymuhammad Niyozov (1927, Khujand - February 2, 2009, ibid.) - Soviet and Tajik musician, performer of traditional Tajik music, shashmakom , music teacher. In his homeland he was called the “king of shashmakom.”

Biography
Throughout his life he was engaged in the execution and study of shashmakoma. He taught the basics of shashmakom at the Mirzo Tursunzod Institute of Arts in Dushanbe , then returned to Khujand , where he created with his student Jurabek Murodov a group of shashmakomists “Nuri Khujand” [1] and continued to teach shashmakom art at the faculty of art of the University of Khujand in Sughd [2] . He had the academic title of professor and the title of People's Artist of the Tajik SSR .
Repeatedly gave open lessons of shashmakom at the National Conservatory of Tajikistan [3] . His granddaughter, Tahmina Niyozova, is also a popular Shashmakom performer in the country [4] .
