Street of King Peter the Great ( Serb. Street Kraљa Peter I ) is one of the oldest streets of Belgrade , the capital of Serbia . The street is named after the Serbian ruler Peter I Karageorgievich .

Location
It is located in the Stari Grad community between the Kosanchichev Venats district and King Dushan Street.
History and Description
Presumably in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, there was a Roman forum , a basilica and thermae .
In the XIX century, the first Belgrade pharmacy and the first hotel “U deer” were located on this street. Today on this street is the Patriarchal Palace of the Serbian Orthodox Church , the Cathedral Church and the old Belgrade cafe “?” .
From 1872 to 1904 it was called Dubrovachka. [one]
The buildings are built in the Baroque , Academic , Secession , Art Deco , Art Nouveau and Oriental styles .
