Alekano ( Alerano, Gafuku, Gahuku, Gahuku-Gama ) is the Papuan language spoken by the gahuku (kahuku) people living in the city of Goroka, Goroka County, Eastern Highlands , Papua New Guinea. The name Alekano in translation means "bring it." In two closely related languages that are directly spoken in the northwest, tokano and is given, it also means "bring it." Also similar to the languages of Benabena, Dano, Xian, Tokano and Java.
