Description
The body length of the beetles is 12-15 mm. Jaws, antennae, limbs - black. Head, pronotum and elytra - blue and some metallic sheen. In the middle of each elytra there is an oval black spot with a rounded orange dot.
Beetles are found in June-August. Active during the day, are active predators. Larvae live in cylindrical burrows , where closer to the surface they wait for prey in ambush.
