Biography
Oksana Zakalyuzhny pupil of the St. Petersburg College of Olympic Reserve No. 1 . The first professional club in her career was the local Volna , with which in 2000 she won the first medal of the Russian championship . After a successful season, the basketball player moves to another continent to play for the Detroit Shock WNBA club. In the first season, Oksana 23 times enters the court, with an average of 3.9 points per match, 2.0 rebounds. At the end of the overseas league, Zakalyuzhnaya signs a contract with the Turkish basketball grand Fenerbahçe , with whom he wins the local championship and becomes the owner of the national cup. The basketball player missed the 2001 season at WNBA due to injury, and in 2002, speaking for two teams, she played in only 8 games.
