Biography
Mikhail Murashkin was born Mikhail Murashkin was born on November 23, 1914 in the village of Ruchyovo (now the Kurinsky District of the Altai Territory ). After completing seven classes of school, he worked on the railway in Termez . In 1942, Murashkin was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since September of the same year - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. In fights he was seriously wounded twice. In 1943, Murashkin graduated from the Chirchik Tank School [1] .
By October 1944, Junior Lieutenant Mikhail Murashkin commanded a platoon of the 117th tank brigade of the 1st tank corps of the 2nd guard army of the 1st Baltic front . distinguished himself in battles on the territory of the Lithuanian SSR . On October 6, 1944, in the battle near the village of Kelme, he personally destroyed several enemy tanks and artillery guns, was wounded, but continued to fight [1] .
During the attack on Kelme, the 3rd Battalion of the 117th Tank Brigade, headed by Captain Zakharchenko, was particularly bold. A tank platoon sent to them under the command of Junior Lieutenant MF Murashkin with a sudden attack destroyed an assault gun, two guns, and up to fifty Nazis. Clearing the way, Murashkin led his three tanks to the rear of the defense. This caused panic in the enemy. The artillerymen of the three enemy batteries, having abandoned their guns, fled. The path to our tanks has been cleared. And Murashkin led his fighting vehicles to the village of Pokaliek, in which the Nazis were settled. On the move they broke into there, but in a battle with superior forces two tanks were lost. For this, the Nazis paid hard. The wounded commander destroyed 4 guns and several dozen Nazis; he continued to fight until senior lieutenant A.P. Plugar and then the rest of the battalion fought his aid with his company. Mikhail Fyodorovich Murashkin was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945, for "exemplary performance of combat tasks of the command at the front of the struggle against the German invaders and showing courage and heroism" Junior Lieutenant Mikhail Murashkin was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal Star ” [1] .
After the war, Murashkin was dismissed. He lived and worked first in the Novosibirsk region , then in Novosibirsk .
