Reproduction
The mating season begins in September and October. A narrow-cut lumberjack begins to make loud screams, similar to an ax knocking on a tree. This happens in the afternoon and at night.
Offspring are bred in tree-filled hollows or large axils of the leaves. The eggs are large, contain enough nutrients to provide the larvae until they turn into frogs. Tadpoles do not feed until they turn into frogs. It takes about 5 weeks. The size of the frog is 8 mm. The males look after the offspring and guard it until the tadpoles pass the metamorphosis. If the male is disturbed, he swells and tries to bite the enemy, and his skin releases sticky white matter. In addition, the male disinfects the water - if you remove it from the offspring, after a few days it dies from mold .
