Biography
Born October 9, 1925 in Zagatala.
In 1943 he entered the Baku Naval College. He passed practice, sailing to Astrakhan under bombing. He graduated from BMU with honors, in 1945 he became a navigator for long-distance navigation and was distributed to the Baltic Shipping Company.
He went to sea as third assistant captain. In absentia he graduated from the Faculty of Navigation of the Leningrad Higher Marine Engineering College. Admiral Makarov. Since 1952 - captain of cargo ships, then switched to the marine passenger fleet, became the first captain of the flagships of the Soviet navy - the ships Alexander Pushkin and Mikhail Lermontov.
Later he worked in the shipping company. Raised 29 captains of sea navigation. He was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor on May 4, 1971 for the opening and successful development of two transatlantic passenger lines: Leningrad - New York and Leningrad - Montreal. After retiring, he worked as a consultant to Sovfreight JSC [1] .
